Services of Spocior cover not only general consultancy in the area of railway infrastructure but more specific the gathering, processing and application of digital data, digital twins and BIM in the railway market.
Spocior is founded in 2011 and focusses since 2013 in applying digital geospatial information in the railway sector.
The name Spocior is a merge of two words: Spoor (track) and Ocior. Ocior is Latin and stands for swifter, sooner, prompter or occurring earlier. This necessarily does not mean trains will run faster but processes and innovate developments in the railway sector will come to quicker maturation.
More than 40 years of experience
Spocior is run by Nick van den Hurk. Nick has 40 years’ experience in the railway industry gathered in three main areas:
1981 – 1991: Dutch Railways: Maintenance, Projects and design of railway infrastructure.
1991 – 2011: VolkerRail: new built, renewal and maintenance of railway infrastructure
2011 – 2021: Fugro RailData: specialized in geodectic correct digital twins of railway infrastructure.
